Jasmine Graetz lives in Adelaide, South Australia with her husband and their two beautiful Australian Shepherds.

Discovering she was dyslexic and neurodivergent later in life, Jasmine began writing The Crossford Academy Chronicles during work breaks to prove to herself that she could pursue her passion and write a novel. She wrote Drakorian Whispers in honour of her mother who passed away when Jasmine was sixteen. While set in a fantasy world, the story carries pieces of her real life within it. The character Zael is inspired by her husband and the beginnings of their love story. Merida was inspired by her mother’s memory, while Balto was created in loving memory of their Maltese-Shih Tzu, Scooter. 

A lifelong lover of fantasy, Jasmine grew up inspired by Disney, Pixar, DreamWorks, and stories such as Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter. Her passion for dragons and magical worlds helped shape the world of Drakorian Whispers.

When she is not writing, Jasmine enjoys snuggling up with her dogs whilst reading, walking her dogs, spending time with friends and family, and relaxing at the beach on warm summer days. 

Drakorian Whispers is her debut novel and the first instalment of The Crossford Academy Chronicles.
